PURPOSE OF ROLE

Provide both hands-on strategic leadership with regards to all things Quality in a Microsoft .NET environment. This person will play a hands-on QA role in projects including defining team structure, developing, and executing on an overall functional testing plan and selecting the tools to ensure product goals are met.  

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES 

• Review requirements and specs to provide meaningful feedback  
• Create comprehensive test plans, cases, and data  
• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs  
• High experience using automated testing tools  
• Perform thorough regression testing  
• Develop and apply testing processes  
• Actively support developers through debugging  
• Track and optimize quality assurance metrics Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices 
• Demonstrable experience in integration testing APIs and microservices 
• Experience monitoring distributed traces and troubleshooting failures 
• Strong software scripting skills (e.g., .NET Core, JavaScript) 
• Experience writing SQL queries 
• Experience assessing risk and developing smoke/regression test plans accordingly 

EXPERIENCE 

• Experience as an automation engineer  
• Experience with both white box and black box testing  
• Experience with automated testing tools  
• Strong understanding of SQL  
• Experience with SCRUM processes
