Project Coordinator

Purpose of Role:

Inchcape is a leading global player in the automotive services sector operates in the distribution, retail and logistics markets.
This role is to support the Program Manager across cross functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, project plans, budgets, and timings for the project.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

A project coordinator is responsible for assisting the project manager in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects. The job description for a project coordinator typically includes the following responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Collaborate with the project manager to create project plans, timelines, and budgets. This may include gathering project requirements, identifying resources, and establishing project goals.
• Task Management: Coordinate project activities, track progress, and ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Communication: Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders, including organizing and conducting project meetings, providing status updates, and resolving issues.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
• Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and project deliverables.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and project goals.
• Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to project team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Budget Management: Manage project expenses and ensure that the project stays within budget.
• Reporting: Prepare regular project reports for project stakeholders, including project status updates, risks, and issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate project processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Experience Required:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in project coordination or management eCommerce or digital product development projects
• Project Management dealing with geographically diverse teams across multiple time zones
• Knowledge of key project methodologies (e.g Agile, Scrum, PRINCE 2, etc.) and track record of having applied them at large scale
• Experience in working with geographically diverse teams across multiple time zones and within a complex matrixed organisation
• Experience with project collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
